A Very Merry Christmas Eve! I know it’s a bit late for cocktail ideas, but eggnog is classic!
Ok so before I dive into some awesome nog recipes, I have to say two things. One – I am always blown away at the cocktail recipes some of you bloggers come up with! Whenever I create a Thirsty Thursday blog post, I try to only pull blog recipes, because you guys really have some amazing ideas and great pictures. So thank you bloggers! Two – I was really worried I would not find enough unique eggnog recipes. I was worried in my searches I would find bland old eggnog recipes, with little variation. I was so wrong! You guys have found some delicious ways to use eggnog!
Almond Milk Bourbon Eggnog
First recipe is the classic drink with bourbon. It’s so excellently described and photographed by Bit By A Fox. This is a great go-to recipe for the original drink, but be prepared, you will fall in love with this blog!
Christmas Candy Cane Bourbon Nog
This is another great option for the holidays. There are always way more candy canes than we will ever need, so you can make good use of them with this drink! Get the full recipe at Hungry Couple NYC.
Rumchata Eggnog
I doubt you have any leftover Rumchata, because that stuff is too good to have leftovers. However, in case you got a bottle for Christmas or happen to have some in the back of the fridge, make this drink! Get the recipe at Sunny Sweet Days.
Eggnog Rum with Fudgy Chocolate Popsicles
This is great drink for me, because I often skip solid desserts for a flavorful cocktail instead. This combines the sweet cocktail with a popsicle for dessert too. Get the full recipe at DishingDelish.
Pumpkin Spice Eggnog
Still not ready to move on from fall? I mean this weather this year has been absurd, so having a fall drink isn’t so out of the question. I love this post because it has fabulous photographs and it’s very easy to make! Get the recipe at Design Confidential.
Kahlua, Eggnog and Jameson Irish Whiskey
Here is another goody, love it because it combines inexpensive liquors to make a unique (and strong!) cocktail. Great recipe at Creative-Culinary.
Salted Caramel Eggnog
Bravo Beautiful Booze for creating an amazing cocktail around an already sweet ingredient! Eggnog is sweet enough and it takes some guts to try it with new flavors like salted caramel. Love the pictures on this blog post too! Get the full recipe at Beautiful Booze – Salted Caramel.
Eggnog Jell-O Shots
Last but not least, here’s a recipe I never thought I would see, Eggnog Jell-o Shots! Now that I think of it, it makes so much sense! These would be a great little surprise at the end of any holiday party. Enjoy!
Have a Safe and Happy Holiday Everyone!
