Bee Themed Bridal Shower Inspiration

Hello and Happy Monday! With it being a new year, I wanted to start featuring wedding inspired posts for us ladies who have to help design, plan and execute a themed bridal shower and bachelorette party. With that said, each month I will take one theme and give some ideas of how to make that theme work for both a bridal shower and/or bachelorette party.

For this first theme I am featuring ideas of how to take a “Bee” theme and make it appropriate for a bridal shower. This is great for any season and the theme is so versatile, you don’t have to stick with plain old yellow and bee’s.

For the bridal shower you could use a number of different slogans such as “Soon to Bee Bride”, “Meant to Bee” or even “Bride to Bee”. All of these party pieces would all have a similar bee/honey theme with lots of fun details.

Invitation:

Most don’t realize that the invitation is very important! It sets the tone of the theme and is the first impression all the guests will get.  There are so many creative designers out there but here is an adorable idea!

Treats:

If you are like me, the sugary treats are the most important thing at any type of party. Here are a few cute ones that obviously go with the bee/honey theme and will be the talk of your bridal shower!

Food and Drink Table Ideas:

Remember not EVERYTHING has to be in the shape of a bee or incorporate honey or what have you! You don’t want to go overboard, pushing bee’s down your guests throat.  Instead, small pieces should really tie everything together. Everything should look cohesive and have subtle hints of bees, honey combs or have the same type of charm. For instance if you want to do it outside have it be more rustic and out doorsey with florals. If you have it inside you could go more formal tea party or still keep with the rustic charm. Either way stick with one direction don’t try to mix medias or it will look all mish mashed!

Kate Johns did an amazing job with their entire “Queen Bee” bridal event! They had so many creative ideas including some beautiful drink/food table displays!

Signature Drink:

Make it easier on yourself and keep with one signature drink.  Here is one that would go PERFECT with a honey/bee theme!

Ginger Switchel Drink:

While it says this is non-alcoholic I am sure you could add some alcohol to this recipe!

Games:

The Games, you cannot forget about some games and of course ones that go with the theme of your bridal shower! Here are some ones you can order on Etsy and print off. This set includes traditional games like Bridal Bingo, Date Night Ideas and Advice for the Bride to Be but with adorable bee designs.

Decorations:

All these items are subtle ways to carry on the bee theme throughout the bridal shower!

These napkins are so adorable and dainty!

If you go with a tea party bridal shower this would be the perfect cups for all the guests!

What a creative centerpiece idea from Kate Johns Blog! Learn how to make something similar here at blog.confessionsofanewoldhomeowner.com

Tablescape Inspirations:

All of these fellow bloggers did an amazing job with their “Bee” themed events! Check out their links below for some detailed ideas!

The Little Umbrella is such an inspiration with their outdoor picnic feel! The white linens and silver bins make it look crisp. I also love the subtle pop of yellow pastels as the centerpiece. Definitely takes on a casual feel!

Everything about  Kate Johns Blogspot is inspirational! They have so many fun items on their tablescape and yet it all is cohesive! Very heavily weighted on yellow, but love the pops of green and of course black and white stripes and polka dots. Very fun!

Celebrating Everyday Life did an amazing job with this “Queen Bee” luncheon! They made the event very classic and I am obsessed with the gold and black direction they decided to take the decor!

Party Favor:

This is like the icing on the cake for your guests! Remember, this doesn’t have to cost a fortune! A party favor could even be as little as telling the guests to keep the tea cup they  use, take a floral arrangement on the table before they leave or have a personalized item such as these:

Honey Body Scrub:

Honey Nectar Lip Balm:

Brass Bee Earrings

Bee Wax Candle

Hope all these ideas help you design your own “bee” themed bridal party! Stay tuned for the “Queen Bee” themed Bachelorette Pary inspiration!

Cheers,

Britt
