Happy Thirsty Thursday everyone! Well we made it past 4th of July and soon it will be august, so if you have not found your signature summer cocktail, I would get started now. Luckily for you, we bring you a drink round up almost every week, so you have no excuse to not try a new summer drink. I am not talking just vodka lemonades, I am talking about unique drinks you have to go out of your way to make and try. I know Brittany and I love to go out and try new cocktails, so today’s post relates a lot to us. Grand Marnier is an orange flavored cognac that is traditional mixed into some margaritas and other fruit and bubbly drinks. If you are not used to drinking it, I have some suggestions for you!

Since today is national Grand Marnier day, I thought we would do a cocktail round up of some unique drinks that use Grand Marnier. So take a chance, make one of these at home or ask your bartender to make something similar.

Bailey’s Orange Bliss

This is a great drink year round. I know Bailey’s is a traditional cold weather drink, but add a splash of orange and chill it and you can drink this anytime!

Pomegranate Tequila Punch

Here is a drink that is delicious and surprising. I guarantee if you make this for a party, your guests will be asking for the recipe. It has surprising and subtle flavors like cinnamon syrup that add a nice kick.

Summer Bourbon Refresher

Here’s a great Grand Marnier cocktail perfect for the man in your life, or any beer drinker in general. Love it when there is a beer and cocktail blend that actually works and is not too strong.

Coconut Creamsicle Margarita

This one sounds so delicious! I can remember those creamsicle’s in the hot summer like it was yesterday, I think I need to get some of those. But in the meantime, this margarita will do just fine.

Cadillac Margarita Bowl

The perfect punch bowl for a summer fiesta! I love the idea of a punch bowl, you make it and you are one and done. It’s especially better when it includes classic ingredients like fruit and tequila.

The Raspberry Peach Honey Deuce

I love this recipe because it is modeled after the Honey Deuce, which is the official Cocktail of the US Open! Love the fruit additions like raspberry and peach, can’t wait to try this!

Strawberry Bottomed Pineapple Margaritas

Another drink you have no excuse not to try. Crushed fruit over booze? What is not to like! I actually might make this in one large pitcher for my next summer get together.

Old Fashioned Leap Year

An classic recipe for an Old-Fashioned with a gin twist. I love how smooth and classic the drink is, it can please almost anyone. It’s also great for someone who wants a splash of citrus but does not want a sugary drink.

Enjoy these drinks and more located at any one of our Thirsty Thursday Posts!
