Happy Halloween Week!
This week’s Thirsty Thursday was inspired by one of my very first halloween costumes, the witch. I was so young, maybe about 5 or 6 and my mom dressed me up as a witch. I got dressed and after she told me how adorable I looked, I threw a fit and sat in my room. I was such a tomboy I didn’t want to be adorable. It’s also weird when you dress up for the first time, because you don’t feel like yourself and everyone pays attention to you, it’s overwhelming. I’ve since dressed up many times (not as a witch) and I am fine with Halloween.
There’s a ton of Halloween inspired cocktails, one of which is the Witches Brew. A label that can be slapped on just about any drink that’s feminine and seasonal. As I was making this list, I could not decide which one was my favorite. One after the next, I kept saying, “Oh no, that was is my favorite!”
Hope you enjoy and even make a few this weekend!
Witches Brew #1
I cannot rave about Heather Christo enough! This blog has so many great recipes, especially cocktails! I featured another one of her drinks in our St. Patrick’s Day Cocktail post. This drink stood out because of the flavored ice cubes and adorable straws. It’s got a lot of fruit juice in it so it’s perfect for the girl who likes sweet vodka drinks.
Witches Brew #2
Surprise, surprise… this drink combines kiwi and mint! A sophisticated drink for a sophisticated Halloween party.
Witches Brew #3
If there’s a witch out there that doesn’t enjoy a hearty cocktail in a wine glass, I don’t want to meet her. Major props to This Silly Girl’s Life for making a drink look so delicious with very few ingredients.
Witches Brew #4
I love a cocktail with apple cider and this bubbly drink really combines the best of fall. You know you already bought that sparkling cider anyway, why not make this drink. The dry ice make this the perfect drink for a Mad Scientist themed Halloween Party.
Witches Brew #5
Lastly I chose another velvety vodka drink perfect for a classy halloween party. Blood Orange, vodka and lime make this a flavor cutting drink with out too much sugar. Pair this drink with Britt’s Halloween Tablescape and you have yourself the perfect Halloween get together
