I love plain Bailey’s on the rocks in winter. It’s a great after dinner treat and goes even better with coffee.
So since I always drink irish cream plain, I decided to get some go to recipes on deck. They all make great Holiday drinks for parties so to have a few ready to will be helpful this season. Once again I found some great cocktail recipes and found some amazing food and drink blogs while doing so. Hope you enjoy as much as I do!
Iced Irish Coffee & Coffee Ice Cubes
Besides the plain jane coffee and Bailey’s, there is also the ever popular Irish Coffee. A liquor packed coffee drink, perfect for the woman on the go! Not really but it’s quite delicious! This is a great recipe for Irish Coffee, and though some classic recipes include Kahlua, this one combines cream and whiskey. Close enough right? Get the full recipe at She Knows.
Flaming Sambucca
I love this recipe and really want to try it! It combines Bailey’s and Kahlua to make a a creamy delicious drink. Make sure and check out Hungry Native to see the special ingredient that gives it a marbled look. The best part is there is a recipe for the Flaming Homer on the same page. The Simpson’s fans anyone? Yes, there is a recipe for it!
Coffee Tequila Cream Cocktail
This one is a bit daring. I never thought of coffee and tequila, but add some cinnamon whipped cream and you have a winner. Get the full recipe at Honey and Birch.
Gingerbread White Russian
Me and White Russian get along great, add some ginger and I am in love! I really think the dude would approve (Big Lebowski anyone?) I really want to try this one but need to get some more ingredients. I would also swap out the whole milk for almond milk too. Get the full recipe at Running to the Kitchen.
Godiva Liqueur Mudslide
A great chocolately treat that can be served as a cocktail or a shot! Get the recipe and some wedding tips at Weddbook.
Guinness Milk Shake
A boozy milkshake you will even crave during the colder months. Get the full recipe at Lemons for Lulu : Guinness Milkshake.
Chocolate Caramel Cookie Cocktail
The last one did not have an irish cream but it does combine Hazelnut Frangelico and creamer, so close enough! You can serve is as a martini or in little shooters like above. Also this drink has butterscotch schnapps, which me and my roomates always had a bottle of in college. We found so much to combine it with! Get the recipe at The Slow Roasted Italian.
Enjoy!
