Tomorrow is National Pistachio Day!!

Did you know that Pistachios are an excellent source of Vitamin B6, protein,  fiber, thiamine and phosphorus? US Food and Drug Administration  even suggests eating 1.5 ounces of nuts per day, such as pistachios to help reduce the risk of heart disease.  Also, another fun fact, most manufacturers dye their nuts so they get that bright green color. Crazy!

With that said, have you ever had a pistachio flavored drink? Neither have I, so I thought this was the perfect themed drink.

Here are some drink recipes infused with pistachio syrups, pistachio liquor (yes, that is a real thing) or even creatively rimmed or decorated with pistachios. This is for all you Pistachio lovers! So get crankin!

Pistachio Mudslide

Can’t go wrong with chocolate and pistachio, enough said!

Puerto Rican Coquito Eggnog

The are many variations to this recipe, but it actually is a Puerto Rican Holiday Traditional drink!

Pistachio Mule

Spoiler alert, it is time to invest in a bottle of pistachio infused vodka!

Kiss O Cream Martini

Another very Irish themed drink, with a green color but it will taste just like Pistachios!

Cardamom

Bartender Nico de Soto from Mace in New York designed this espresso based drink!

Brandy Baklava Martini

Baklava is my all time favorite dessert in the entire world so I CANNOT wait to try this! Happy girl right here!

Pistachio Shooter

Super cute and would also be perfect for St. Patrick’s Day!

Dan Le Nuit

Actually a Chicago born drink from bartender  at Sable Kitchen & Bar

Pistachio Rockmelon Martini

Drink formed at Potato head in Jakarta.

L’Artisan des Glace Ice Cream Martini

This just sounds like a French drink!

Baileys Pistachio Ice Cream

Who ever decided to mix alcohol, chocolate, pistachios and ice cream together may as well be a God!

Cheers,

Britt
